Hotels constantly strive to fulfill guests' requests, regardless of how unique they may be, in order to ensure guest satisfaction. While some requests are routine, others are rather outlandish. Hotels.com, a leading hotel booking platform, recently unveiled some of the most bizarre room service requests they have received from guests worldwide.

Outlandish Requests Revealed

The requests range from the peculiar to the downright odd. Some guests have requested Evian bottled water specifically for their children's baths, opting to pour it into the bathtub. Others have sought allergen-free menus for their pets, prepared for human consumption. One guest even requested a special meal consisting of burnt toast, fresh goat milk, and 2 kilograms of bananas! Not to be outdone, another guest requested that every room service order be delivered by a team member.

Hotels.com notes that the trend of strange requests continues in 2023. Guests have asked for bottled water to be boiled, large portions of bison meat, and even pufferfish. The latter, it's important to note, is highly dangerous if not cooked correctly. One guest went as far as to request that their own fish be cooked and served.

Despite the strangeness of some requests, they highlight the importance of personalized service and catering to individual needs. Hotels.com's Melanie Fish emphasizes the special place room service holds in the hearts of hotel guests, stating, "Room service holds a special place in the hearts of hotel guests. Whether it's a moment of indulgence or a solution after a long day, there is a certain satisfaction in the experience."

These unusual requests offer a glimpse into the diverse preferences of travelers and demonstrate the dedication of hotel staff in fulfilling those preferences, no matter how peculiar they may seem.
